Attendance Monitoring

FOR OFFICES, SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES

WITH CONTACTLESS.

Deploy an attendance monitoring system with the Orbit IP contactless smart card readers. Build your own software solution or integrate with one of our partner’s packages. Easy installation using Power over Ethernet technology. From £129 per reader.

CONTACTLESS READER

Orbit IP is a contactless smart card reader using 13.56MHz NFC technology compatible with a wide range of smart cards. It features Power over Ethernet for both power and communication with a web server over standard local area network cables. Through its TCP/IP network connectivity, Orbit IP runs as a standard HTTP web client. This makes it easy to integrate the reader with no low-level programming required.

BUILD YOUR OWN SOLUTION

Track lateness, absenteeism and visitors by building your own attendance monitoring system. Orbit IP allows you to use common web languages such as PHP, ASP and HTML to build a custom solution and host it on your own server. The reader is a one-box solution that can be plugged directly into a network without the need for additional hardware.

PICK AND MIX

HARDWARE OPTIONS.

You can configure your Orbit IP’s specification prior to production to fit your requirements and budget. Choose from metal and plastic casings, weather sealing for indoor or outdoor use, add relay, display and power options, all directly from our web store.

Relay

Opt for a relay to trigger electric door locks (max switching voltage 250VAC/220VDC.)

Display

Upgrade from the standard LED lights to a 2″ LCD to show text-based messages to your users.

Weatherproofing

Need to install a reader outdoors? Our weather upgrade provides an IP65 rating to withstand the rain.

NETWORK ARCHITECTURE.

The reader can be plugged directly into a local network without the need for additional specialist hardware. Orbit IP can obtain network configuration settings from a DHCP server or static ones can be pre-set. Once part of the network, the reader communicates with a designated server for sending card data and receiving commands for the control of the LEDs, beeper or relay. Contact us to find our more about the reader or request its Programmer Guide listing the complete command set.
